Essentials – Clarify

Ashley Craig’s ‘Essentials’ CLARIFY is a gentle prewash designed to remove buildup from products that may have been previously used on the coat such as aerosol sprays, chalk, crystals, oily silicones, or pack conditioners. It is soap-free and can be diluted up to 20:1 and beyond.

This clarifying shampoo is the most gentle option on the market, boasting a low 6.5 pH that prevents cuticles from opening and lifting along the hair’s shaft. Hair cuticles do not open and close like a hinged door, and lifting them leads to unnecessary damage. The mild detergent blend used in CLARIFY is much larger in molecular size and mass, with higher solubility, so it cleans and detoxifies without further damaging the hair or lifting its cuticles.

CLARIFY will not dry out hair or irritate skin by penetrating deep into its delicate underlying cell layers, or destroy the microbiome of the skin. It is safe to use daily, even for dogs with sensitivity issues such as skin irritation or hot spots.

When using the Ashley Craig system for the first time, it is recommended to use CLARIFY first to wash out and remove any buildup. The coat should be thoroughly dried to benefit from the new bathing regime.
